The Michigan Pipe Trades Association is made up of 11 United Association locals in Michigan that perform work in the plumbing, pipefitting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing service industries. Each local union has a federal Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program. This grant will be used specifically for apprentice and journeyperson training which includes training center upgrades, training material and equipment purchases which directly helps keep the labor force highly skilled. This grant will help keep employees trained and safe, as well as ensuring jobs in these fields are completed on time.
