What is the purpose and how does the legislatively directed spending item provide a public benefit that is an appropriate use of taxpayer money?Restore and augment car ferry service to Neebish Island. This is the only way for residents and visitors to travel to and from the island. Currently, winter service hours end at 6pm, preventing residents from accessing healthcare visits, school and work functions, and complicating emergency and utility vehicle access. Mobility and accessibility for these people is severely hindered.
