The Valley Farms Recreation Complex serves as the hub of recreational activities for DeWitt Township. Comprised of Valley Farms Park, the Miracle Field, and the Community Center, the complex's central location allows for regional neighbors to enjoy this asset and everything it has to offer. The Community Center serves as the home of the DeWitt Area Recreation Authority. This regional partnership provides community and recreational programming year round, including summer and holiday camps, accessible baseball, basketball and soccer, and special events. These programs are offered at no or low cost to ensure that everyone that wants to participate can, no matter their circumstances. Valley Farms Park is busy year-round, as families use the facility for disc golf, walking trails, and its shaded playground with picnic tables, basketball hoops and restrooms. The Miracle Field hosts nearly 200 athletes from 28 municipalities annually to ensure that anyone seeking to play baseball or soccer has the opportunity to shine. This funding request will support replacement of a playground structure and installation of accessible surface that allows kids of all needs and abilities to be able to play together. The funding request will also support a full replacement of the existing Miracle Field surface with an extension to allow for adult play, in addition to dugout upgrades for better accessibility. The Community Center will utilize funding to replace a boiler, roof, windows and installation of an accessible door to the facility.
