The existing vehicle has experienced repeated maintenance failures, rising repair costs, and parts availability challenges, resulting in reduced reliability and periods when multiple ambulances were out of service simultaneously. Replacing this ambulance will directly improve emergency medical response times, reliability, and public safety for residents and visitors to the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
