What is the purpose and how does the legislatively directed spending item provide a public benefit that is an appropriate use of taxpayer money?Funding will support efforts to improve and modernize the Reaching Our Potential Everyday (ROPE) program by consolidating its operations under one building that includes work-training and residential space for program participants. The ROPE program is a one-year work-training development program for recently incarcerated individuals to learn how to reintegrate back into the community by providing opportunities to work for pay while focusing on their sobriety.
