The Adoptive Family Support Network (AFSN) provides professional and volunteer support to more than 3,000 families in 81 Michigan counties. The majority of these families have adopted children from the Michigan foster care system. By supporting these families, AFSN helps keep adopted children in their adoptive families, which is both good for these children and families and cost effective for the State of Michigan.
