LANSING-Senate Democratic Leader-Elect Mike Prusi (D-Ishpeming) announced today that Cindy Peruchietti has accepted his offer to serve as Chief of Staff beginning next month. Peruchietti currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Early Childhood Investment Corporation and has a long career working for the State Legislature.

“No one is more committed to improving the lives of everyday citizens than Cindy Peruchietti,” said Sen. Prusi. “She knows how to get things done and I am pleased she has answered the call to public service yet again. Her experience and dedication will help us turn Michigan around.”

Prior to her work for ECIC, Peruchietti served as Legislative Director and Chief of Staff for House Speaker Andy Dillon. She also served as Chief of Staff for former Senate Democratic Leader Bob Emerson and as Deputy Chief of Staff to former House Speaker Curtis Hertel.

“Senator Prusi and the Senate Democrats are united with their House colleagues in an effort to get Michigan’s economy back on track and provide help to struggling families,” said Peruchietti. “The opportunity to help with this united effort is an honor.”
