Bishop Names New Directors to Senate Policy and Communications

LANSING - Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop today announced the following staff members as directors of policy and communications for the Senate Republicans.
 
"These four professionals have demonstrated the expertise and willingness to lead our policy and communications staffs in a way that benefits the entire Senate Republican caucus," said Bishop, R-Rochester. "I am excited to recognize them for their hard work and for the opportunity to promote from within our organization and thank them for their eagerness to continue serving our members."
 
Fred Hall, Senate Majority Counsel, will also now serve as director of the Senate Majority Policy Office. Hall has worked for the Senate for 25 years, and in that time served as Senate Majority Counsel since 1991 and policy director in 1998 and 2006. Previously, Hall served for two years as an assistant prosecutor for Oakland County.
 
Jamie Clover Adams has been named director of policy development and deputy director of policy. Jamie has served in SMPO for more than 6 years. Prior to working in the Senate, Jamie served as the Kansas Secretary of Agriculture and in policymaking roles for Kansas Governor Bill Graves, the Kansas Agribusiness Association and American Feed Industry Association in Washington, D.C.
 
Kristyn Ladd was named director of the Senate Majority Communications Office, having served most recently as the department's associate director. Prior to joining the Senate, Ladd worked in public relations for the John Truscott Group and the Michigan Restaurant Association. She also served in communications roles for former Governor John Engler, Lt. Governor Dick Posthumus and the Michigan House of Representatives.
 
Kendall Wingrove will serve as deputy director of SMCO. Before joining the Senate in 2005, Wingrove served more than two decades as a press secretary with the Michigan House. He also worked as a reporter for a weekly newspaper chain in St. Clair and Macomb counties.
