Senate Majority Floor Leader Alan Cropsey (center) presents a legislative tribute to Sergeant Major David M. Marshall of St. Johns who served with distinction in Afghanistan. Throughout his tenure in the Afghan Logar Province, Marshall led dozens of emergency planning sessions, coaching and teaching members of that area’s security team. He also conducted more than 150 combat patrols, and was involved in more than 25 that involved direct and indirect fire.
