Sen. Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, announces a Sept. 30 charitable event for the Children’s Trust Fund to help fund child abuse prevention efforts in Michigan. The event will feature a live auction which includes many great prizes, such as an autographed Red Wings jersey from the 1995-1996 players, worn here by Richardville. Approximately 70 students, who were in Lansing touring the state Capitol, joined Richardville and participated in the news conference by singing “You’re a Grand Old Flag.”

The Michigan Mobility & Accessibility Partnership recently constructed a wheelchair-accessible ramp at the home of Patrick Redmond. Thanks to the efforts of the groups dedicated volunteers, the Monroe man has greater independence. State Sen. Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, and Sen. Mark C. Jansen, R-Gaines Township, joined with Comcast Vice President of Engineering Dale Kirk, Life Skills CIL employees and volunteers to build the ramp. (8/7/2009)

State Sen. Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, works on a wheelchair-accessible ramp for a Monroe resident as part of the Michigan Mobility & Accessibility Partnership. Sponsored by Comcast, the partnership is a bipartisan effort made up of elected officials, disability advocates and local volunteers.
