Pastor Mabry gave the invocation before the start of the Senate session. He was also a guest of Rep. Kim Meltzer, R-Clinton Township.  (10/22/2009)

State Sen. Alan Sanborn, R–Richmond Township, presents a Senate tribute to Patsy Clopton, a 2009 Michigan Works! Association Outstanding Alumni award winner. With assistance from Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! Clopton, of Macomb County, graduated with a Licensed Practical Nursing certification with honors. The annual awards celebration held in Lansing provides the opportunity to see firsthand how the Michigan Works! system improves the lives of Michigan residents. (2/3/2009)

Sen. Alan Sanborn, R-Richmond Township, welcomed Joshua Graves, teaching and young adult minister of the Rochester Church of Christ in Rochester, to the state Capitol Tuesday. Sen. Alan Sanborn, R-Richmond Township, recently welcomed former state Sen. Thomas Guastello (center) and Macomb County Treasurer Ted Wahby to Lansing. Both testified in support of a bill that will pave the way for development of a new convention center in Macomb County. Senate Bill 1376, sponsored by Sanborn, was approved by the Senate Tuesday. (6/24/2008)

Sen. Alan Sanborn, R-Richmond Township, welcomed Dr. Steve Buuck, principal of Lutheran High School North in Macomb Township, to the state Capitol earlier this month. Buuck, who will be leaving his post as head of the school after this school year, led members of the Michigan Senate during the invocation. Sen. Alan Sanborn, R-Richmond Township, welcomed Dakota High School Medical Academy students to the state Capitol Wednesday. Gina Gossage and Gabi Karpinsky are pictured with Sanborn.
