With assistance from Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! Clopton, of Macomb County, graduated with a Licensed Practical Nursing certification with honors. Both testified in support of a bill that will pave the way for development of a new convention center in Macomb County. Senate Bill 1376, sponsored by Sanborn, was approved by the Senate Tuesday. Buuck, who will be leaving his post as head of the school after this school year, led members of the Michigan Senate during the invocation. Sen. Alan Sanborn, R-Richmond Township, welcomed Dakota High School Medical Academy students to the state Capitol Wednesday. Gina Gossage and Gabi Karpinsky are pictured with Sanborn. The pair traveled to Lansing to promote the Macomb Township school’s program, which allows students interested in a medical career the chance to learn some basics in high school. (4/23/2008)
