Senator Patterson celebrates along with other local officials as County Executive Robert Ficano cuts the ribbon to open Sheldon Road upon the completion of the long-awaited underpass project. Senator Patterson spoke at Grosse Ile Township's annual meeting on Saturday, March 15, 2008. The senator spoke about the many accomplishments of Grosse Ile Township over the past year and current state issues that are affecting the area. At the end of the speech, Senator Patterson recites an Irish proverb that is worth the wait.
