Dear Residents of the Twenty-Second District:
Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th is an important day in the State of Michigan as we remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Across the state there will be parades, memorial ceremonies in cemeteries, and speeches in parks in honor of our fallen heroes and their sacrifice to our country.
At the capitol on May 22nd, I will host the 14th Annual Memorial Day Service in the Michigan Senate Chambers. During this remembrance ceremony, we will pay respect to the soldiers from Michigan who have given their lives in the line of duty over the last year and remember all those who came before them who have "given their last full measure."
The public is welcome to attend and may call my office to reserve seating at 1-800-516-0026. Seating is limited.
