(Lansing)- State Senator Michael Switalski (D-Roseville) announced the hiring of Jeff Minore as chief of staff for his 2nd term in the Michigan Senate. The hiring is effective immediately.
“I am thrilled to announce the addition of Jeff Minore to head up my staff,” said Switalski, who was named the Minority Vice Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee for the 94th Legislature. “His many years of experience in the Michigan Legislature will serve me and the residents of Michigan well as we embark on funding our top legislative priorities in light of this difficult budgetary climate.”
Minore began working for the Michigan Legislature in 1988 and served as the Chief of Staff for State Senator Joseph Conroy and as Office Manager for State Senator Bob Emerson. Most recently, Minore worked for the Senate Democratic Caucus as Appropriations Coordinator and as a policy analyst for transportation issues. Minore graduated from Flint Central High School in 1979 and studied psychology at Michigan State University.
“I am excited about the opportunity to help Senator Switalski direct the Senate Democratic efforts at solving the state’s fiscal crisis and to craft a structurally sound budget plan for the upcoming fiscal year,” said Minore.
