LANSING – This Saturday Sen. Hansen Clarke (D-Detroit), along with the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus, area health care professionals, and Wayne County Community College’s Continuing Education Program, will host a free health fair for community members.

“There are many problems that affect the health of our communities, from access to health care to unemployment and foreclosure,” said Sen. Clarke. “This meeting, with space generously donated by Wayne County Community College, will address these issues for Detroit citizens and answer any questions they may have about improving their own health as well as the financial and economic health of the area they live in.”

This free event will take place on Saturday, October 10, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and will be held at the Wayne County Community College Eastern Campus, at 5901 Conner in Detroit. Lunch, childcare, and parking will all be provided at no cost, and attendees can get advice for job leads and foreclosure problems as well as receive free health screenings.
