SENATOR ANDERSON DONATES NINTENDO WII SYSTEM TO LIVONIA SENIOR CENTER

LIVONIA--Earlier this month, Senator Glenn S. Anderson presented Mayor Jack Kirksey, Gay Ware, and Karl Peters, on behalf of the Livonia Senior Center, with a Nintendo Wii video game system.

The Nintendo Wii incorporates physical activity and exercise into its video games and has won praise amongst all age groups. Sen. Anderson had previously donated the game system to senior centers in the communities of Garden City, Redford, and Westland.

“While my two grandchildren are the real experts when it comes to the Wii system, I have seen how much fun these games can be for all age groups,” Sen. Anderson remarked. “The Wii has been a great success in all of the communities I have donated to in the past, and I hope the system will be as well received by visitors to the Livonia Senior Center.”

The presentation took place before the Livonia City Council during their regular meeting held on Monday March 9th.
