Internship OpportunitySummary Position Description: This individual will work on and solve constituent cases, write letters and special tributes, perform some legislative research, answer the telephone and take messages, and some general office duties. Intern is strongly encouraged to attend some Senate sessions and committee meetings.
Qualifications: High School Diploma is required. Excellent telephone, written communication skills, and a positive attitude preferred. Our objective is to have the internship experience be a very positive one so the individual obtains a true picture of how the legislative process works, how it affects Michigan’s citizens, and so they learn how to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in an office setting.
Status: Unpaid internship. Hours are extremely flexible and negotiable. Immediate Openings.
