Internship OpportunitySummary Position Description: Interns will assist Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich (D-Flint) and staff with legislation, communications, constituent services, and general office operations. As part of the internship program, interns will gain valuable, hands-on experience working in the Michigan Capitol.
Qualifications: This internship is open to all students interested in public service enrolled in any major, Public policy experience is not required. Applicants must have superior written communication skills, be attentive to detail, and comfortable liaising with state departments, community organizations, and constituents. Please note that a writing test may be administered during applicant interviews.
Status: Paid and unpaid positions available. Students may be eligible for course credit through their institution. Start and end dates as well as flexibility of hours will be determined upon selection. Internships are filled on a rolling basis; you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
